Babycorn Fritters | Babycorn Fingers Indian Style

Babycorn Fritters or Babycorn Fingers is a crunchy and tasty babycorn bites marinated in a coriander and curd batter, fried into golden and crispy fritters. It is a great evening tea-time Indian snack, quick and easy to prepare. Do try and I’m sure you are going to love it.

Ingredients

  • 150 gms of babycorn
  • 1/2 tsp pepper powder
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp flour/maida
  • 2 tbsp curd
  • 2 tsp rice flour
  • salt
  • 1 cup oil for frying

Grind into a smooth paste :

  • 1 inch piece ginger
  • 5-6 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves
  • 2 green chillies

Instructions

  1. Wash and cut the baby corns into 2 pieces.
  2. In a bowl combine all the above ingredients(except oil) and mix into a smooth paste. Add some water if the batter is too thick.Put the baby corns and mix everything well. Marinate it for approximately 20 mins.
  3. Now in a pan heat the oil. Fry the baby corns in small batches making sure they don’t stick to each other. Fry till they turn golden brown, then transfer the fried babycorns to an oil absorbing paper to remove the excess oil.
