Why you will like this Lemon Garlic Salmon Recipe?
Delicious : This lemon garlic salmon is delicious and one of my favorite recipes to make for guests. It has always been a star dish on the dinner table. It has been my best Salmon recipe.
Quick & Easy : It just take 15 -20 minutes to prepare the recipe from start to finish. It also requires very little ingredients and mostly those that are usually available in the pantry.
Juicy & Flavorful : This recipe makes a juicy fish which is slightly crispy on the outside. Cooking the fish with all these ingredients makes it extremely flavorful. I have tried making this recipe with different variety of fishes and the result is always perfect.
Variations
- You can substitute Salmon fish fillet with any meaty fish fillet. The marination and cooking time may vary for different fishes.
- If you prefer to use smaller pieces of fish you can cut the fish into at least 2 inch pieces.
- Cherry tomatoes can be substituted with large tomatoes too. Slice the tomatoes into smaller pieces and then add to the recipe.
- I sometime enjoy adding some sliced onions to the recipe too while adding the tomatoes.
- Add the spices as per preference of heat.
- You can also bake this recipe in the oven at 180°C for 15-20 minutes.
Ingredients
- Salmon : You can use frozen or fresh salmon fillet for this recipe. If using frozen fish, thaw the fish completely before cooking. You can also cut the salmon into small pieces too.
- Butter or Olive Oil : Both butter and olive oil taste great for this recipe. You can also combine both butter and olive oil.
- Garlic : Garlic is finely chopped and fried in oil to add an extra garlicky flavor. Be careful not to burn the garlic as they can cook very quickly.
- Lemon : I have used half a lemon for this recipe. You can also use lime or ready to use lemon juice. Although ready to use lemon juice can have a slightly different taste, so i prefer using fresh lime or lemon.
- Cherry Tomatoes : Add cherry tomatoes whole or sliced into halves.
- Garlic Powder : Garlic powder is used with other spices to marinate the fish.
- Salt & Pepper : Salt and pepper for seasoning. Add as per preference.
- Red Chili Powder : Paprika or red chili powder adds an extra heat and flavor. Skip it if you do not want it to be too spicy.
- Coriander Leaves : For freshness add finely chopped coriander leaves at the end, but I also like to add them while the fish is cooking. Doing so releases more flavor of coriander in the oil.
